One Year Anniversary
The pen is mightier than the sword, they say. Is it really the pen or is it the words being penned? A simple combination of letters; hence, words that encourage, flatter, give joy, humiliate, depress or destroy. Every word has a meaning.

A kind gesture
It is almost a year since Gaura Prema came into existence. As the days merged into months the group started to carve a name for itself. Each successive concert attracted a greater public. Yet, it could do very little on a big scale for lack of facilities. Madhava, the group leader decided it was time to appeal to the generosity of some hardcore kirtan lovers.

Zürich temple, the place to be on the 31st
Between 22 hours to 0.30 hour in the night of the 31st of December to the 1st of January Gaura Prema and all present will welcome the New Year, 2008 with mantra chanting.

The visit to Munich
The whole Gaura Prema group piled in the car early morning on Saturday 15th of December. The ride from Zürich to Munich would take 4 hours.

On an island in Ireland
Since a few years already, the hardcore kirtaneers of the U.K and Ireland meet in Inish Rath, an island in the middle of a lake in North Ireland, for a couple of days of intense kirtans and dancing.

Yogaday concert in Zürich with Gaura Prema
On Saturday 22nd in September, at precisely 9.30 am, the Volkhaus Zürich , opened its doors to hordes of visitors. The attraction? A Yoga fair. All the major Yoga schools present there supplied endless information about the body, mind, consciousness and soul. Madhumati, member of the Gaura Prema was the organiser and coordinator of the whole event.

On September the 22nd several yoga schools come together in an attempt to inform the public about yoga. A yoga fair, of sorts in Zürich. The day starts at 9.30 am with expositions, workshops presentations and much more.

24 hour Kirtan in the USA
New Vrindaban, West Virginia: On August, the 18th Madhava, the lead singer of Gaura Prema participated in the first 24 hour ever in the US.

Ratha Yatra
Ratha Yatra, or the festival of the chariots takes place in Zürich on July 14. Since 1967 it is an annual happening in most countries of the world. Lord Jagannath, meaning the Lord of the universe, rides with His brother Balaram and sister Subhadra on a splendidly decorated chariot on the streets of many major cities.

Every Sunday, Mantra Meditation
Since five years, the band faithfully performs every Sunday at the Hare Krishna temple in Bergstrasse 54, in Zürich. Since the official formation of the band a few months ago, the number of the attending public more than doubled. Hence, whether you are newcomer or, an old friend, visit us from 20 hours to 21.30 hours every Sunday in Zürich. Upcoming concerts in different parts of Europe will regularly appear on this page.

New instruments
Shopping for musical instruments in the bustling city of Mumbai. A sweltering affair indeed. Still, we managed to add a dholak, harp, cymbals, shakers, bongos and and a number of interesting drums and precussions to our existing collection.
